Superior Office Solutions officially opened its doors in 1999, but our story began a few years earlier. In the early ’90s, our founders Tim Glover and Eric Wolf joined a local Canon dealership. With a focus on personalized service and building strong client relationships, we steadily built a loyal client base across the New York City metropolitan area. However, things quickly changed when a large national company purchased the dealership and emphasized sales over service.
After years of receiving immediate, attentive service, our clients were frustrated to find that they were no longer treated as a priority. To give them the level of service they had grown accustomed to, we decided to branch out and open Superior Office Systems in midtown Manhattan.
At the time, we only had a few printer technicians and a short list of customers, but word spread quickly about our company. Unlike our competitors, we actually took the time to get to know each client and guide them through the leasing process instead of pushing them into the most expensive lease. Our client base expanded rapidly because of our commitment to service, and we went from having a few employees to more than 50.
After more than 20 years of growth, Superior Office Systems decided to expand our company even further in 2020. We joined forces with Paul Holstein, owner of another office technology dealership and office water provider renowned for its service. His company, Sapphire Office Solutions, partnered with ours to become Superior Office Solutions (SOS). Now, with four offices in Manhattan, Westchester, Long Island, and New Jersey, we are excited to expand our reach across the tri-state area.
